Getting to Bruges...

By Car

Bruges windmillBruges is about 70 minutes by car from Calais and less than an hour from Dunkerque. The A40 motorway (Calais to Brussels and beyond) passes Bruges and the city centre can be accessed from junctions 7 and 8. Please see the map in the Studio page for access directions to the studio

Parking restructions are severe within the centre of Bruges, but visitiors to the Studio need not worry as we are able to provide one secure covered parking bay.

 

By Train

Belguim has an excellent, comprehensive and by European standards, cheap train network. Bruges station is about a 15 minute walk from the Studio but taxis are available from the station forecourt.

For train passengers arriving from the UK, the Eurostar from London connects with Bruges via Brussels. The travel time from Brussles to Bruges is 60 minutes, but the Eurostar fare (at the time of writing) includes train travel onwards from Brussels at no extra charge to any station in Belgium

By Plane

Brussels is a major international airport and there is a regular train service straight to Bruges from the station situated within the airport complex

Passenger and car ferries connect the ports in the south east of England with Calais and Dunkerque - see links for further details.

Overnight ferries are available from Hull into Zeebrugge - just 8 miles north of Bruges from where there is a regular train service to Bruges
